Well, it’s probably a case of you get what you pay for – my wife’s computer has keys falling off the keyboard and it’s so flaky that i’ve actually gone as far as installing Uubuntu on it to keep the computer stable enough to be usable.

But then agian I paid probably about 1/4 what a decently kitted out MacBook would run.

Update: Deep Freeze Mac v4.5 is available to all from our website now. We strongly recommend uninstalling previous versions of Deep Freeze Mac before you update to Snow Leopard. Once your OS migration is complete, you can then install Deep Freeze Mac v4.5 and Freeze the computer.

I am running the RTM on a few new computers and Insight has a few problems. On “view all” it sits and updates forever but shows the computers individually if they are clicked on.

Please note that while we won’t ‘officaly’ support Windows 7 before the actual ship date that does not mean that we are not looking at it actively before that date. The software is already floating through the appropriate chanels here and getting a good look through.

DF seems to function quite well with Windows 7 RC, with one notable exception — ThawSpace. Installing with ThawSpace is a guaranteed way to get a BSOD. We will be testing fixes for this with the RTM once it is available.
